Gorgeous rich pink oval sapphire with our cutting and good clarity. This sapphire is bright in all ways and would make a lovely ring.

Heating is a common enhancement in Sapphires, to find one without any enhancements is relatively uncommon. We purchased this gem as being un-enhanced but in some cases low temperature heat treatment is done near the mine in a coal fire and not disclosed to anyone further down the supply chain. In most cases this relatively low temperature process is not detectable using the standard gemological equipment we possess and sometimes not even detectable with advanced laboratory testing. We are offering this gem as we purchased it in the belief it is not heated, but there is a possibility that it would have been heated at relatively low temperatures to reduce a blue/purple color component and make the pink color more pure. If it occurred this kind of enhancement does not reach a temperature that is high enough to introduce any foreign elements into the gem or dissolve inclusions to improve the clarity.
