This 2.74-carat Mexican Opal gemstone features the Regal Radiant™ cut.
This gem shows flashes of opalescent color inside when viewed in direct light, our photo is taken in diffused light and so that camera does not capture these flashes of color at all well. Different from some Mexican opal this gem shows the best flashes of color with the light above it instead of from behind. (The ones that look best with light coming from behind are called contra luz.) For normal viewing the ones that show colors with light from the front are more likely to show colors to the viewer.
