This 102.37-carat Pau D'arco Amethyst gemstone features the Regal Radiant™ cut.
Pau D'Arco is from a mine that has not produced for over 30 years. It is considered to be the paragon of deep colored amethyst with a "Siberian" reddish flash. Many are so dark that they are heated to lighten the color. This gem was slightly over heated and had to be irradiated to return it to its original color, then heated again to achieve o optimum color. (So it is just a little bit lighter than how it came out of the ground.) If you want a large collector amethyst this is it!
